Celebrating their reunion, I thought I'd write a little bit about one of the most kick-ass rock albums of the 90s.
First off, Chris Cornell's voice is otherworldly. Just listen to "Slaves And Bulldozers" and "Jesus Christ Pose," and we're talking classic Soundgarden. This is just raw and powerful rock that doesn't get into "ugly" territory if you know what I mean. They don't have to sing about eating dookie or raping/killing anyone to be impactive.
"New Damage" is great and of course the classics "Rusty Cage" and "Outshined" are memorable.
Thank God they're reuniting.
