My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This album is extremely easy to like. It's catchy, cheerful, and puts me in a really good mood. Half the time, I don't know what these guys are singing about. Is it political? Are they being tongue-in-cheek? What's going on here?
Maybe it's just gibberish, but nonetheless, it's fun and creative. I don't think there's a bad song on this entire album.
There's a classical music influence with tracks like "The Kids Don't Stand a Chance" and "M79." Also, you can hear the African pop music influence in Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa."
One of my favorite tracks is "Oxford Comma." Why would anyone write a song so academic? But then again, that's exactly what the song seems to point out and the band seems to shrug its shoulders at.
