36. Robotique Majestique

Robotique Majestique Robotique Majestique by Ghostland Observatory
My rating: 3.5 of 5 stars

This album is fun. The "Opening Credits" are a bit grandiose, but Ghostland Observatory wouldn't be who they are if they weren't a bit over the top.

"Heavy Heart" is a very entertaining electronic track. Aaron's spastic vocals make this duo unlike any other. I remember seeing them on Austin City Limits one night on PBS of all channels, and Aaron can definitely dance.

"Freeheart Lover" has an 80s electronic feel with the heavy drumbeats and synths. There's certainly an eccentricity to the music and to this duo's image that you're either going to hate or dig. I like that they're really different this way.

"The Band Marches On" has a heavy bass line combined with heavy percussion plus violins (most likely synths). It's one of the cooler tracks on the album.

"HFM" is probably my favorite track on this album because it's so extreme. Aaron reaches the height of spaz-out on this track to the point where you can't even make out what he's saying.
